Polyester POY

Polyester POY or Partially Oriented Yarn is the primary form of yarn which is manufactured through spinning polyester melt/chips. It is also known as polyester pre-oriented yarn as it is the first form of yarn, directly spun from PTA & MEG or from Polyester Chips. It is used as a raw material to manufacture textured yarn and can be further processed to make fabrics by texturising it, draw warping or air texturizing. It generally has lower tenacity and less uniformity than fully oriented yarn (FOY).
